United Way North East Ontario preparing to update its strategic plan
The United Way North East Ontario (UWCNEO) is holding strategic plan input sessions later this month to allow members of the public to share the issues that matter most to them.

The charitable organization is dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals across northeastern Ontario, servicing the districts of Sudbury, Nipissing, Parry Sound, Manitoulin, Cochrane and Timiskaming.
The United Way works locally to improve lives and create opportunities that help build brighter futures, reads the charity’s website.
It is looking for public input as it plans its next steps in the district.
"We believe that for our community to truly thrive, we need to look beyond single issues and temporary fixes," said UWCNEO.
"By working in partnership with our community… we identify needs and invest in targeted programs that help change lives."
The input sessions will be held at the Sudbury office on Cambrian Heights Drive on Sept. 17.
Officials with the organization told CTV News that this is the first time they have opened up the floor in this format to hear feedback from the public.
Ro Mullen is the district’s governance and partnership manager, she said they really want to hear from people that they have not heard from in the past.

"(To) find out, you know, maybe why people aren't donating as much, maybe why they've never thought and how can we, you know, how can we help to impact those who haven't been able to be impacted before by United Way," Mullen said.
Those interested in attending the input sessions are asked to RSVP by email before Sept. 9.
