Unique game store celebrates grand opening in North Bay
Outpost Gaming is the newest gaming retailer in North Bay and they're hoping to be different and unique compared to the others.
"What sets us apart is the play space," said Anthony Capigotto, co-owner of the new store.
"We have six tables ready to go in a space that has a really cool fantasy aesthetic to it. Not everybody has this space at their house, so to create a space with as many people as they want, that was really the aim."
While all games can be played online, Outpost Gaming staff hopes that people will the benefits of playing in person.
"We live in a global economy right now where markets are intertwined all over the place and you can log online and buy any product you want," added Capigotto.
"What you can't do online is take your board games and play them, you need that area to come to and to gather."
The store will also feature its own free rewards program, called a Valor Account, which allows customers to collect points for discounts on items sold in the store.
"I'm very aware of how much of a positive impact on your mental health having hobbies and inclusive social circle can be," said Capigotto.
Outpost Gaming will host their grand opening Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
More information on their rewards program and upcoming events can be found on their Facebook page.
