A Timmins man looking to appeal a first-degree murder conviction was deemed unfit to stand trial on Tuesday.
Byron Spence was convicted in 2014 in the shooting death of his half-brother and sentenced to life in prison.
In the summer of 2017, he won an appeal of the first-degree murder conviction due to an error on the part of the presiding judge.
