Update 2: 

SUDBURY -- Timmins police say one person has died following a two-vehicle crash in South Porcupine on Tuesday morning.

It happened on a stretch of Highway 101, east of the Bruce Avenue interchange.

Police say the driver of one of the vehicles, 82-year-old Nick Joseph Oreskovich, succumbed to his injuries Tuesday afternoon.

They say the driver and passenger in the other vehicle involved were uninjured.

Police officials say the road will be re-closed to traffic Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m. in order to complete technical investigation measures. Alternate routes are being set up. Eastbound drivers will take Bruce Avenue into South Porcupine, while westbound traffic will take Legion Drive to Highway 1010 thorugh Bruce Avenue.

Update:

SUDBURY -- Timmins police say they are continuing an investigation into a two-vehicle crash that happened on Highway 101 east of the Bruce interchange at around 11:35 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Police say the crash happened at the center-most eastbound lane between a pickup truck headed east and a passenger vehicle headed west.

The driver of the passenger vehicle has been sent to hospital for injuries received in the collision and police say the level of injury is undetermined at this time.

Both vehicles involved were deemed "un-drivable" and towed from the scene.

Traffic in both directions was disrupted for several hours, but the road has since reopened.

Police say charges are pending and are seeking assistance from anyone who may have witnesed the incident.

SUDBURY – Timmins police say a two-vehicle crash on Bruce Avenue in South Porcupine on Tuesday has closed the road.

The collision happened before noon Nov. 12 at the Bruce "Y."

Police say there have been injuries as a result of the crash.

Traffic is being re-routed through South Porcupine and motorists should expect delays.

Timmins Fire Department and paramedics are on the scene.
