Two-vehicle collision on Lorne Street in Sudbury

Following the two-vehicle collision Lorne Street in the Gatchell area of Sudbury's west end between Clemow Avenue and Gutcher Avenue was closed for several hours.

CTV News has received no update to the extend of the injuiries suffered in the accident at this time.

In a tweet, Greater Sudbury Police thanked members of the community whom assisted at the scene.

"Your actions were noticed, appreciated and made a difference."

A two-vehicle collision has closed Lorne Street in the Gatchell area of Sudbury's west end between Clemow Avenue and Gutcher Avenue.

According to a tweet by Greater Sudbury Police, multiple people were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Lorne Street will be closed in the area while officers are on the scene.

Police encourage motorists to find alternative routes.
