Two people from Eldee, north east of North Bay, are charged with numerous offences following an investigation by the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit, which concluded June 10.
A 39-year old man faces the following charges:
• Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking
• Possession of a Controlled Substance
• Two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
• Two counts of Careless Storage of Firearm
• Four counts of Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Prohibited
• Six counts of Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order.
A 36-year old woman is charged with:
• Possession of a Controlled Substance;
• Two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
• Two counts of Careless Storage of Firearm
Police say they found the following drugs in the pickup truck they stopped:
- 356 – 80 milligram oxycodone pills
- 70 – 5 mg Percocet pills.
They say the street value of the drugs seized is estimated at $30,000.
After executing a search warrant, police seized a quantity of drugs, two guns, and ammunition at the man’s home.
The two are scheduled to appear in court July 9 in North Bay.
