SUDBURY -- A 17-year-old is in hospital in Kirkland Lake with life-threatening injuries following a serious assault Nov. 14.
Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police responded at 12:24 a.m. about an attack on someone on Kirkpatrick Street.
"Officers arrived on scene and located a 17-year-old with life threatening injuries," police said in a news release. "The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment."
Two 16-year-olds from Kirkland Lake, who can't be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, have been charged with aggravated assault.
The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake at a later date.
