SUDBURY -- The Timmins Police Service has identified the pedestrian who was killed in a motor vehicle collision that occurred at around 10:35 p.m. on Sunday evening.
The deceased has been positively identified as Lyle Foster, 53, of Timmins.
"Next-of-kin notifications have been completed," police said in a news release.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Cedar Street and Algonquin Boulevard where the driver of a commercial SUV struck Foster, who has since died of his injuries.
"The comprehensive investigation into the collision remains underway, managed by the Timmins Police Service traffic section, working in conjunction with the Timmins Police - forensic identification unit and criminal investigations officers," police said.
