Timmins police find drugs, guns in Carrigan Road home after standoff
As the investigation continues into a 911 call that led Timmins police to a 15-hour standoff at a Carrigan Road home last week, more than $120,000 in drugs have been seized along with five weapons.

Few details about what happened March 23 are available yet, but on Thursday, Timmins police provided a list of the items seized from the house along with the people charged.
Officers searched the home and found 1,004 grams of cocaine, 23 g of fentanyl, 94 g of crystal meth, 2,200 tablets of methamphetamine, three 9 mm handguns, ammunition and two Tasers.
A total of eight people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Three Timmins residents ranging in age from 27 to 62, along with two 21-year-old Toronto men, are charged with conspiracy to commit murder, administering a noxious substance, forcible confinement, aggravated assault, assault, numerous weapons-related charges and several breaches of release and probation orders.
All five of these suspects are being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Two of the Timmins men, ages 47 and 62, are also charged with possession of a prohibited device and having a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, along with another 46-year-old Timmins resident.
The two suspects who were released are both men from Timmins – ages 27 and 63 – and charged with having a prohibited device.
The younger of the two is also charged with having a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, while the elder is also charged with operation while prohibited.
Police said the criminal investigations section is still actively working on the incident and further charges are pending.
