SUDBURY -- Timmins police say they have arrested a man in connection to a robbery at a local pawn shop.

They say it happened Feb. 5 just after 4 p.m. at Northern Pawn Canada on Algonquin Blvd.

Security footage from the business shows a man entering the store with his face covered and hood up before smashing a display case and allegedly running off with items from inside the display.

Police say they identified the suspect through an investigation and a 41-year-old Timmins man accused of the robbery was arrested on Sunday.

He is charged with:

  • Theft Over $5,000 
  • Use Disguise with Intent
  • Mischief to Property
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to return to court to answer to the charges on March 24.
