TIMMINS -- The latest annual Timmins Invitational bowling tournament wraps up Sunday, capitalizing on over 30 years of growth and passion for the game.

The tournament’s organizer, Al Paquette, said the five-pin bowling event attracts some of the best bowlers in Canada to the city’s Mid-Town Bowl centre, spanning from across Ontario, Quebec and even Prince Edward Island.

Bowlers are vying for a piece of the $25,000 pot and their name imprinted on the championship trophy.

Starting with up to 100 players, by Sunday they've been whittled down to 32, with double elimination matches throughout the day.
