Timmins area under winter weather travel advisory
Snow will be falling in Timmins area on Sunday – with up to 10 cm expected throughout the day.
The snow is expected to be heavy at times causing poor visibility from Timmins to Hearst prompting Environment Canada to issue a winter weather travel advisory.

"Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather.”
Communities affected by the weather advisory are Timmins, Cochrane, Hearst, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing and Smooth Rock Falls.
Locally heavy snowfall with total accumulations of 5 to 10 cm is expected.

“Snow, at times heavy, will continue into this morning and likely through most of the day before tapering to light flurries this evening,” said Environment Canada.
“Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow.”
