SUDBURY -- There's another three COVID-19 cases in Greater Sudbury, bringing the area's case count to 214 since the pandemic began. The number of active cases now stands at 22.

Since March, a total of 196 coronavirus cases have been reported in Greater Sudbury, 12 in the Sudbury district and six in the Manitoulin district.

The latest cases are all in Greater Sudbury. One person got the infection though close contact with a confirmed case, while the source of infection for the other two is unknown. Neither the gender of the people nor their ages was released by Public Health Sudbury & Districts.

The outbreak at Pioneer Manor is still ongoing, the heath unit said. It was declared Nov. 10 when a staff member tested positive.

Due to a potential high-risk exposure to COVID-19, the health unit still urging anyone who was at Foothill Farm Service in Massey between Nov. 4 and Nov. 6 to immediately self-isolate and contact Public Health.

"Self-isolation means not leaving home for work or school, not using public transportation, and avoiding contact with others," the health unit said.

Sudbury is currently in the Yellow-Protect zone under the provincial framework, which "serves as a signal to our communities that we are going in the wrong direction and that we must recommit to public health measures," Public Health said.
