Three arrested in Kirkland Lake drug bust
Three people, two from southern Ontario, were arrested and large quantities of suspected cocaine, fentanyl and oxycodone along with more than $8,500 in cash were seized from a home in Kirkland Lake on Wednesday morning, police say.
On Nov. 22 at about 5 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a search warrant at a residence on Duncan Avenue, police said in a news release.
“(OPP) located over 100 grams of suspected cocaine, over 50 grams of suspected fentanyl, over 120 tablets of suspected oxycodone and approximately $8,620 in Canadian currency,” said police.
Several OPP units were involved in the search.
As a result of the investigation, a 53-year-old man from Kirkland Lake, a 20-year-old man from Oshawa and a 16-year-old from Scarborough were charged with multiple counts of drug trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

All of the accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
None of the allegations has been proven in court.
This comes only a day after 10 people were arrested in different northern Ontario drug bust.
