SAULT STE. MARIE -- Health officials are confirming a new case of COVID-19 in the Algoma region.
The Algoma Public Health Unit says the latest case is a result of close-contact exposure. The individual is now in self-isolation.
This is the 42nd case of COVID-19 in the region since the onset of the pandemic.
Officials say that all close contacts have been notified.
This is the third case of COVID-19 confirmed in the region in just under one week.
