SUDBURY -- Two thieves driving a blue Jeep Patriot stole more than $10,000 in equipment June 23 from a remote camp 35 kilometres north of Capreol on Morton Lake, Roberts Township.

The Nipissing West Ontario Provincial Police received the report June 26.

A review of security cameras on the property revealed the suspects rammed a steel gate in order to gain access on the property.

"The culprits then forced their way into several buildings and stole numerous items," police said in a news release Tuesday.

They released photos of the suspects, whose faces were mostly hidden. Police are hoping the public can help identify them.

The stolen property includes, but is not limited to:

- Champion 4000 Watt generator, yellow

- Makita compound sliding mitre saw, blue, 10 inch blade

- Delta belt drive mitre saw, silver, 10 inch blade

- Champion 6.5 horsepower (hp), gas powered water pump, yellow

- 1971 Johnson outboard motor, 6hp, green and white cowling

- Minn Kota trolling motor, 40 pound thrust, black, with tiller

- Honeywell fan, black (new in plastic)

- Mastercraft grinder, blue, 4 inch grinder

- Mastercraft, 18 volt, cordless drill, in orange case containing drill bits

- 100 feet extension cord, yellow, 12/3 gauge

- Extension cord, orange, on a plastic reel

- Beige & yellow flip style tote containing men's hunting boots - size 11

- Yanes, portable 2-burner camping stove, blue

- Grey Plano tackle box and denim bag containing numerous fishing equipment (lures, jigs, knife etc.)

- Shimano, 4000 series, fishing rod, 6 ½ feet, with casting reel

- Twelve Econobear, 330, bear traps

The value of the stolen property is estimated to be $10,000.

"Evidence has been collected from the scene and the investigation is continuing," police said.
