The Golden touch: How adopting a pet can change a life
SUDBURY -- For many people, dogs are seen as part of the family.
So on Family Day, a not-for-profit cross-country dog rescue organization called Golden Rescue is asking families to consider adopting their next pet.
The group is one of the largest single-breed rescue groups in Canada. It finds homes for surrendered, abandoned or displaced Golden Retrievers.
Terri and Denis Pilon have fostered and rescued multiple dogs, including two Golden Retrievers, and say these pups have changed their lives for the better.
