Testimony has wrapped up in a trial involving six charges against the City of Greater Sudbury.
It's in connection with a 58-year old woman being struck and killed by a grader on a city construction project over two years ago.
Thursday afternoon, a senior manager from the city, Tony Cecutti, took the stand.
He said it's not the responsibility of city inspectors on site to enforce safety and that it's up to the contractor to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Last week, Interpaving, the contractor on the project, pleaded guilty to one charge in connection to Cecile Paquette's death.
The company was fined $195,000.
