Tense moments at North Bay hospital after patient grabs cop's gun

SUDBURY -- North Bay police say an incident at the hospital escalated when a patient grabbed an officer's gun.
Not many details are known yet, but North Bay police tweeted about the situation just before 11 p.m. Wednesday.
"What began as a calm encounter tonight quickly escalated when a mental health patient at the hospital grabbed an officer's gun while in its holster," police said. "The officer maintained control of the weapon, and the patient was secured."
Police said charges are pending and there no injuries sustained in the encounter.
