SUDBURY -- A shed fire deemed 'suspicious' by the North Bay Fire Department has caused significant damage to a house.
North Bay Deputy Fire Chief Greg Saunders tells CTV News that two crews responded to a structure fire on Tilley Street around 8:30 a.m. Friday morning.
Saunders says firefighters were on the scene in four minutes and upon arrival, they were faced with a fully engulfed large shed that was located very close to the home.
He says the close proximity of the shed fire caused "significant fire damage to the home."
Crews were able to put the fire out very quickly, preventing further damage.
Reportedly, there was no one home at the time of the fire.
Saunders says the fire is considered suspicious and is being investigated with assistance from North Bay Police.
