Ontario Provincial Police are warning the public about a man that has been trying to lure children into his vehicle in the Town of Cochrane.
Police say they received reports of two incidents within a 24-hour period of a suspicious, unknown man approaching children and asking them to get into his vehicle.
The first incident was reported around 10:30 pm Sunday, May 12 and the second at 3:20 pm Monday, May 13.
Police say the suspect is described as:
- In his 40s
- Wearing dark clothing
- Speaks with a raspy voice and a French accent
- Drives an older model sedan or a newer type sports utility vehicle, both black in colour with tinted windows

The OPP encourages parents to talk to their children about strangers, being aware of their surroundings, and creating safety plans.
