A 46-year-old from Markstay-Warren has been charged after a vehicle collided with a school bus Thursday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police were called just before 8 a.m. to respond to the crash, which took place at the intersection of Pioneer Street and Highway 17, Markstay-Warren.

“No injuries had been reported, with both the students on the school bus and the other driver,” police said in a news release.

The suspect has been charged with following too closely and driving while under suspension.

“The OPP would like to remind motorist when following a school bus, remember to keep a safe distance,” police said.

“Buses make frequent stops, so maintaining a safe distance ensures you are prepared to stop safely.”
