Suspect charged with ramming vehicle with people inside
A 40-year-old in West Nipissing has been charged following an intimate partner dispute that ended with a vehicle ramming another vehicle with occupants inside.
The incident occurred Aug. 7 just before 1:30 p.m. at a residence on Betty Road, Ontario Provincial Police said Thursday.
“One person used a vehicle to ram and damage another vehicle while the occupants were still inside their vehicle,” police said in a news release.
“No injuries were reported.”
Charges include dangerous driving, careless driving, two counts of assault with a weapon, mischief, forcible confinement and assault.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay in September.
