Police in Greater Sudbury charged a 42-year-old suspect with drug trafficking and seized close to $24,000 in cocaine and meth.

The Aug. 1 arrest was the culmination of an investigation into the suspect, whom believe believed was involved in the drug trade.

“Detectives from the integrated crime section with the assistance of the emergency response unit also executed two search warrants in the city,” police said in a news release Tuesday.

“Detectives seized approximately 110 grams of what is believed to be cocaine and 352 methamphetamine tablets with an estimated street value of $23,834, as well as just over $1,000 in cash.”

Charges include two counts of trafficking and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000. The suspect was in bail court Aug. 2.
