SUDBURY -- There's a delay in the reopening of the Off The Street Emergency Shelter on Larch Street in Sudbury.

Originally set to open November 1, the $2-million renovation project is not complete, prompting a delay until November 25.

Work to expand the low-barrier shelter to 30-beds began in March, and will include new services for people experiencing homelessness.

During the renovations, a temporary location was set up at Church of Christ the King on Ste. Anne Road.

Once open, the shelter will operate from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. seven days a week.
