SUDBURY -- YES Theatre in Sudbury is making its Toronto debut next year.
The cast and crew of the company's production of Merrily We Roll Along are heading to Toronto next February to perform the musical at the Crow’s Theatre.
Alessandro Costantini, YES Theatre’s artistic director, was excited to share the news from Salt Lake City, Utah where he is currently performing with the Dear Evan Hansen National Tour.
"The play dealt with all of the things that I was thinking about. It was a story that celebrated friendship, celebrated youth and I felt it was directly aligned with everything YES Theatre stands for," said Costantini.
The musical was directed by Mitchell Cushman in Sudbury last season.
Costantini said Cushman is, in his estimation, one of Canada’s best directors and will be at the helm for this production also.
YES Theatre will be performing Merrily We Roll Along Feb. 11-Feb. 28, 2021.
