The hill will be opened until 4 p.m. on Sunday with all five of its runs operational and will be open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until resuming regular operating hours on Jan. 6 – though it will close early at 2 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
Hours of operation are dependent on weather conditions and are subject to change without notice. The Lively Ski Hill regular hours are 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the weekends. Individuals can call 705-692-5030 or visit the city website to get the hill’s up-to-date ski conditions or to confirm its hours of operation.
“January openings are not unheard of at Lively Ski Hill,” reads the City of Greater Sudbury website.
“(Openings) tend to fluctuate between Dec. 27 to Jan. 17.”
The early opening is a good start for the amenity after its future was called into question by city council earlier this year.
Season and day pass cards can be purchased online or by calling 311.
“Lift tickets can only be purchased at the ski hill with cash only,” says the hill’s webpage.
“Lift tickets are to be used at the time of purchase.”
A full list of fees can be found on the website.
