SUDBURY -- The COVID-19 cases continue to climb in Sudbury, with four new cases confirmed Wednesday evening.

According to Public Health Sudbury & Districts, three of the new infections are from the city of Greater Sudbury while the fourth is from the district.

This marks the 9th straight day of multiple infections being confirmed. The last day with no new infections confirmed by the health unit was on Nov. 2.

With the new cases into account, Sudbury now has 190 cases of COVID-19, with nearly a third of those infections confirmed during this month alone.

The latest infections come one day after the region’s medical officer of health, Dr. Penny Sutcliffe, briefed Sudbury’s city council in a virtual meeting, stressing the importance of increased vigilance.
