Sudbury police make big drug bust at apartment connected to assault suspect
As Sudbury police continue to investigate Tuesday's assault on Elm Street, a search of the apartment where some of the suspects were found uncovered $135,000 in drugs.

Officers were called to the scene of an assault in progress involving several people near the Eyre Street intersection at 8 a.m. Dec. 10.
One person had been seen with a knife and another person armed with a gun was spotted entering an apartment building on the corner.
Police evacuated the building while officers contained the unit where the suspects were hiding.
Five people were taken into custody, but three were released unconditionally.
Two men, ages 26 and 42, were charged with various offences.

The younger of the two is charged with breach of probation, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The old suspect is charged with firearms charges and breaching release, probation and prohibition orders.
Sudbury police spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn told CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca in an email Wednesday the victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
In an update Wednesday, Sudbury police said detectives armed with a warrant found an airsoft and BB gun inside the apartment during a search inside Tuesday night.
Both weapons are believed to have been used in the assault.
"Detectives also located close to 350 grams of what is believed to be fentanyl and close to 1,050 grams of what is believed to be cocaine," police said.

Based on the discovery, the 42-year-old suspect is also charged with two counts of drug trafficking.

Both suspects were held overnight in custody and scheduled to appear in bail court Wednesday.
Police are calling the attack a "targeted incident" among people known to each other.
