A convenience store in Sudbury’s West End neighbourhood was robbed Monday morning.

According to police, a man concealing his face used a knife to rob a convenience store on Douglas Street just before 7:15 am on April 8.

He demanded cash, cigarettes, and other items, and then allegedly left on foot.

The employee was not injured in the incident.

Using a description of the suspect, Sudbury police say there were able to identify the man they believed to be responsible after canvassing the area.

Officers located and arrested the 31-year-old suspect shortly after 3 pm on Wednesday, April 9 at a Lorne Street bus stop.  He faces several charges in relation to the incident.
