Sudbury police cruiser lands upside down in ditch at park
A single-vehicle crash involving a Sudbury police cruiser at a playground caused quite a stir on a quiet street in Minnow Lake on Sunday.
The rollover happened around 4:35 p.m. when a patrol officer was exiting the parking lot of the Eyre Playground on Ferndale Avenue, off Bancroft Drive.

"He lost sight of the gravel lot, driving down the embankment, resulting in the cruiser rolling onto its roof," police spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn told CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca in an email.
The patrol car landed upside down in the ditch in front of the playground.
"No member of the public was involved in the collision and no member of the public was injured," Greater Sudbury Police Service said in a news release.
"The involved officer attended Health Sciences North with minor injuries."
The traffic management unit continues to investigate the collision.
Christina Labelle lives down the road from where it happened and told CTV News it was scary because the park is usually packed with kids and people playing basketball or pickleball.
