Sudbury police charge two with impaired, stunt driving
SUDBURY -- In the early morning hours of Sept. 12, an officer traveling northbound on Falconbridge highway observed two vehicles travelling southbound at a high rate of speed.
Upon activation of the on-board RADAR system, it was determined the vehicles were travelling at 155kmh in the posted 60kmh zone. Further investigation revealed both had been consuming alcohol.
The operators, a man and woman, were each charged with impaired driving, driving while over 80, stunt driving-speeding and racing.
The vehicles were impounded and the driver’s licenses suspended for 90 days.
