Officers were dispatched to the house on Beverley Street shortly before noon April 10, Sudbury police said in a news release Thursday.

The suspect barricaded himself inside the home and police made several attempts to communicate with him, but he would not respond.

Officers entered the home at 1:40 p.m. after receiving a warrant to enter and arrest the suspect.

He was taken into custody without incident about 40 minutes later.
