Police officials in Sudbury are looking for the public’s help, as officers search for a man involved in stabbing incident.
In a media release issued on Thursday afternoon, the Greater Sudbury Police Service said the stabbing happened at 2:30 a.m. on Thursday at 327 Elm Street.
Police said a 28-year-old man was stabbed and suffered serious injuries. He remains in hospital in stable condition.
Officers retrieved the weapon at the scene and investigators believe the male suspect and victim may be known to each other.
It occurred during a social gathering.
Investigators do not believe this incident is related to the stabbing that took place on Lloyd Street on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers and Investigators are canvassing the area for information and video surveillance.
Police officials ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has information regarding the suspect or has video surveillance in the area, to contact the department immediately.
