SUDBURY -- Sudbury Ontario Provincial Police were able to catch the driver of one of two vehicles racing on Regent Street early Thursday morning.

The man was charged with driving 110 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.

"The 43-year-old driver from Sudbury was charged with stunt driving," police said in a tweet. "His vehicle was impounded (for) seven days and his licence was suspended (for) seven days."

In Ontario, a stunt driving conviction brings a fine of between $2,000 and $10,000, and in extreme cases jail time of up to six months. Your license can also be suspended for as much as two years for first conviction, and 10 years for subsequent convictions.
