Sudbury Cyclones unveil logo, jerseys
On Wednesday, the management behind the Sudbury Cyclones, a new professional soccer team in the city, unveiled the team’s logo and two of its players.
The Cyclones will be playing the League 2 Ontario Circuit and Giuseppe Politi, who was born and raised in the city, is the team’s head coach.
“Thank you to the management team for trusting the leadership of this franchise to me for its inaugural season,” Politi said.
“It’s an honour to be here. For Sudbury this is progress, it’s an opportunity, it’s a big step forward for our sport. As someone so invested in our community, this is a special moment so I’m really happy to be a part of it.”
The Cyclones will kick off the season at home in May. Details about ticket sales and a schedule will be released later.
