The Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Admiral Mountbatten is marking 75 years in the community

With that, Sudbury’s Mayor Brian Bigger was on hand to declare the week in recognition of the diamond anniversary.

Several events will also be taking place on the weekend to help mark this milestone occasion.

Lieutenant Vickie Boucher is a Mountbatten Commanding Officer.

“We have people from across the country. We have a lot of local folks and people from abroad, who are coming in to celebrate with us. And reunited old flames, I guess, and old friends and spend the weekend together and have a good time.” said Boucher.

More than 6,000 youth from Sudbury have benefited from the training offered by the Admiral Mountbatten Cadet Corps.
