Stabbing in wooded area of Sudbury results in attempted murder charge
Sudbury police have charged a man, 28, with attempted murder after a stabbing in wooded area off Leslie Street on Wednesday night.

Officers were dispatched to an assault in the Flour Mill area just before 9 p.m. Dec. 11, Greater Sudbury Police Service said in a news release Thursday.
A 28-year-old man who had suffered non-life-threatening injuries was located at the scene by police and taken to hospital by paramedics.
Minutes later, a second call was received stating a second person had been stabbed and was at a nearby encampment.
A 36-year-old man was found there with serious, life-threatening injuries and taken to hospital.
He remains in critical condition.

Police said the two men were involved in an altercation and that the younger man stabbed the older man several times.
"This is an isolated incident as the individuals involved are known to each other," police said.
The 28-year-old is charged with attempted murder, having a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply with a probation order.
He was held in custody overnight and is scheduled to appear in bail court Thursday.
