SUDBURY -- One new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed Sunday by Public Health Sudbury & Districts.

According to health officials, the 208th case is from Greater Sudbury. They say it is believed to be related to an outbreak, although no specific outbreak was noted.

This marks the 13th straight day of an additional case added. However, it does mark the first time in that stretch that only a single case has been reported.

It comes just hours before the region is set to move into the ‘Yellow-Protect’ category of the province’s new response framework.

As of midnight Monday, the new status includes measures such as limited hours of operations for certain settings, reduced recreational program sizes, additional enforcements and fines, and enhanced education in high-risk settings.
