Scout is a friendly tabby who loves a good scratch

Share

On this week’s edition of Take Me Home Tuesday, we present Scout, a year-old grey and white haired tabby looking for a good home.

Alexandra Binns, SPCA Sudbury’s animal care coordinator, told CTV’s Jessica Gosselin that he’s a good natured, easygoing cat who is not fond of being held for too long.

He does, however, love a good scratch and does quite well with other cats.

“But he’s never, ever met a dog,” Binns said. “So if you have dog, it will be a slow introduction.”

Scout is a big boy who has done well with smaller children, but older kids need to be sure they respect animal boundaries.

“He’s pretty mellow (and) he’s been around younger children,” she said.

“(But) a cat is not a toy.”

He’s been at the shelter two weeks and is ready to move into his new home.

Overall, Binns said it has been a busy winter at the shelter.

“Right now, we have a full room but hopefully in a couple of weeks it will be empty again and ready for more animals to come in.”

Do these exercises for core strength if you can't stomach doing planks

Planks are one of the most effective exercises for strengthening your midsection, as they target all of your major core muscles: the transverse abdominis, rectus abdominis, external obliques and internal obliques. Yet despite the popularity of various 10-minute plank challenges, planking is actually one of the most dreaded core exercises, according to many fitness experts.
