Sault’s Longest Garage Sale draws crowds downtown

Share

Clothes racks, food vendors, art displays and musicians lined Queen Street in Sault Ste. Marie as the Downtown Association held its annual 'Sault's Longest Garage Sale.' The event typically serves as a spring sidewalk sale for downtown businesses. However, it's also an opportunity for local artists to show off their work.

"Myself and some other people from the art community, we're just out showcasing what we do, our art," said Amy Williams, owner of Art by Amy Williams.

"We are selling our goods, and just showing the community what we do."

With the exceptional weather, the turnout for the event was strong, with families filling the downtown core.

The next big event for the neighbourhood will be the Summer Moon Festival on June 15th. That will be followed by Canada Day festivities and Rotary Fest, which begins July 13th.
