Sault police seek public assistance in YMCA break-and-enter, theft investigation
Sault police are investigating a break-and-enter incident at the city’s YMCA workshop last month.

At about 2 a.m. on July 27, a male suspect was at the compound, cut the lock off the latch and left the area.
“A short time later the suspect returned along with an unknown female where they entered the workshop and took over $1,000 worth of tools,” reads a news release issued by Crime Stoppers of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District this week.
The incident was captured by video surveillance cameras and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and Crime Stoppers are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying the suspects.

“Look closely at this video and photos if you have any information to assist in identifying these suspects and your tip leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward,” said Crime Stoppers

Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the two suspects is asked to contact Sault police or Crime Stoppers.
