Sault police investigating shooting after victim dropped off by vehicle
Sault police are appealing to the public for information after a shooting victim was dropped off by a vehicle early Friday morning.
A 911 call was received around 5:10 a.m. July 12 about someone with a gunshot wound.
"Officers were dispatched to the area where they located a victim who had sustained a gunshot wound," Sault Ste. Marie Police Service said in a news release.
"The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries."

An investigation revealed the victim had been shot in what is believed to be the west end area of the city then dropped off by a vehicle near Wellington Street East and Upton Road.
"Detectives believe this was an isolated incident," police said.
