A 50-year-old man in Sault Ste. Marie is charged with performing an indecent act in public and causing a disturbance after allegedly flashing multiple people, including youths.

Sault Ste. Marie police received a 911 call around 3 p.m. Nov. 4 about a man exposing his genitals several times in a public place in the 700 block of Great Northern Road.

"Although the accused had left prior to officers’ arrival, officers were dispatched to the area and located the accused nearby," Sault police said in a news release Wednesday.

"An investigation revealed the accused had pulled their pants down and exposed their genitals and buttocks whilst walking around in front of multiple people, including youths."

The man is also charged with failing to comply with a probation order and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.

He has been remanded following a bail hearing.

A man with the same name and age was charged by Sault police with robbery and two counts of theft under $5,000 after a series of bizarre incidents the morning of Sept. 26.

In September, a 44-year-old man was charged with indecent exposure involving children waiting for the school bus in the Sault.
