A former doctor in Sault Ste. Marie has been forced to close his walk-in clinic after the college of physicians and surgeons suspended him from practicing medicine.

Peter Schwarz was found guilty of professional misconduct by the college.

Following a six-day hearing late last year, the committee just announced it believes Schwarz sexually abused a patient in 2015.

While he denied those accusations,  Schwarz did admit to engaging in disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct in relation to three nurses at the Sault Area Hospital, dating back to 2010.

His licence has been suspended. but there is no word for how long.

Last spring, Schwarz was acquitted of two sex-related criminal charges involving an adult female patient.
