Sault crash sends person on mobility scooter to hospital

A person on a mobility scooter was seriously after being hit by a vehicle in Sault Ste. Marie on Thursday afternoon, police say.

Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is appealing to the public looking for dashcam and video surveillance footage of a collision in the 300 block of Great Northern Road around 3 p.m.

The crash in the Staples parking lot is under investigation after the scooter operator was taken to hospital.

Witnesses are urged to contact traffic services or acting Sgt. Ben Williams at 705-949-6300 ext. 632.
