Rotary Club of Sudbury supports NEO Kids and McEwen School of Architecture
SUDBURY -- Thousands of dollars were raised at a local fundraising event put on by the Rotary Club of Sudbury.
The Paul Harris Dinner recently honoured Kate Bowman, Terrance Galvin and Blaine Nicholls for the work they did to get the McEwen School of Architecture up and running.
Organizers of the event say each of them went well beyond the call of duty to make sure that the school is an integral part of our community, recognizing the club's mandate of "service above self."
Net proceeds of the dinner, $6,000, were split up between NEO Kids Foundation, the Rotary Foundation, and an award to a Masters of Architecture student for work in community service.
"$1,500 is going to the school of architecture and that will benefit graduate students. A graduate student, or more than one, that does community work as a central focus because of the Rotary connection,” said Terrance Galvin, Founding Director of the McEwen School of Architecture.
