Road maintenance truck rear ended on MR35 near Azilda in Greater Sudbury

A pothole crew is shaken after a crash on Municipal Road 35 southeast of the Greater Sudbury community of Azilda on Monday morning.

Police were called to Elm Street shortly after 10:30 a.m. after a road maintenance truck was rear ended, Sudbury police spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn told CTV News in an email.

The crash left a pothole patching crew from Dominion Construction with a few minor injuries and one person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No word on if any charges are pending.

The road reopened in both directions around 2:20 p.m.
