"Remembrance Week is a time to respect, reflect and remember," the Ontario government said.

"It is a time to honour the fallen, reflect on the impact of armed conflict and pay tribute to those who have served and continue to serve our country."

Chief News Anchor and Senior Editor of CTV National News Omar Sachedina hosted Remembrance Day coverage from the National War Memorial in Ottawa starting at 10 a.m.

This year, CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca also streamed the ceremony hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion at the Sudbury Community Arena live online starting at 10:30 a.m. Monday.

The video of the ceremony is posted above.

At 11 a.m. on Remembrance Day, Canadians are encouraged to observe two minutes of silence.

"On Nov. 11, observe two minutes of silence to show gratitude for the courage and sacrifice of our veterans and those currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces."
