SUDBURY -- A Chapleau woman, who is originally from from Uganda in East Africa, was delighted when she and her husband came across two moose.

Josephine Bouchard has been in Canada for over five years and describes a recent wildlife encounter as "a magical moment."

Bouchard and her husband were on their way to Wawa when they came across the two female animals standing in a swamp.

"My entire body was full of goosebumps after watching these beautiful creatures listening to my hubby’s moose call," said Bouchard. "I told him to keep quiet 'not to scare them' but he kept on calling them. It was such an awesome experience the way they turned their necks back and started listening to him."

She said she feels blessed to be in Canada and that the experience was one of her best moments since she arrived.
